What would be possible if we learned to have child-like delight? To be fully awake to our lives every single day? To live in awe and wonder, to have eyes that see the beauty and miracles all around us? We would see God and couldn't help but overflow with joy and respond with shouts of praise!
Our highest calling, our deepest fulfillment comes from KNOWING and being known by the One who created us.
This week isn't about performance, about doing more, or measuring up, but rather LETTING GO. In fact, God tells us to, "Stop striving and know that I am God."
This week is about flipping the script,
As we release and let go of striving, of worry, of focusing on our circumstances, shortcomings and struggles releasing them to his care...
Cast ALL your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5:7
We will move our eyes to God, to knowing him more.
How do we KNOW God? It's about RELATIONSHIP, about time spent together.
About receiving what he tells us in his Word and choosing to believe what he says about who he is, who we are and what he's done for us.
You are already FULLY SEEN, fully KNOWN and fully LOVED by God - He created you after all!
Do you realize what God did for us by sending Jesus? Because of Jesus, his death and resurrection we no longer have to live under the weight of sin, shame and separation from God!
When we confess this truth with our mouth and believe it in our hearts, asking Jesus to be Lord of our life, we are LITERALLY not the same person! We are given a new heart, a new nature, in our born again spirit, the Holy Spirit lives in us. ... WHAT? GOD LIVES IN US! We have the mind of Christ, we have all his blessings and promises, we have the same power in us that raised Christ from the dead! We have victory over Satan.
There is a real battle happening in the spiritual world. The battle for us is IN OUR MINDS! The only way Satan has ANY power over us is by DECEIVING us (if you are a born-again, Jesus follower)! THAT'S IT! Because of Jesus, and in Jesus name we have power over the enemy.
If all of this is true... WHY do so many of us, who confess to be Christians not see the REALITY of this in our life?
My people parish for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6
Jesus says that if we hold to his teachings... then we will know the truth and the truth will set us free. John 8:31-32
It is the truth that you KNOW that will set you free. The truth that you don't know, or don't live out will keep you in bondage. Stuck. Living in fear. Living at less than all God has for you.
This week, is about digging into truth, keeping our minds focused on Jesus who IS the WORD, is the TRUTH, is LIFE. So that we actually see in our lives what God promised - abundant life - not just in heaven, but here. Right now. Every day!
This week is about receiving and delighting in God's truth as you grow to know God more each day, learn to hear his voice and respond in praise!
Getting to know God IS to DELIGHT in God!
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

WHY I'm PASSIONATE about PRAISE
I have been a Christian my whole life, and yet struggled for many years with depression, anxiety and worry. God showed me how I was letting the enemy win and have influence over my life through my mind, letting the enemy steal my joy. Our thoughts are powerful. Praise is not only a weapon to live in victory, but a way to delight in God keeping our thoughts fixed on him, and praise blesses God too! When our focus shifts to knowing God and delighting in him- EVERYTHING CHANGES!

Printable guide for our main focus of the group: 30 minutes each day of using your Delight and Thrive guide for: prayer, scripture, walking, gratitude and journaling, including a play list of praise songs for later in the day. A focus on gratitude, delight and praise using all our senses to be more present, learn to hear God's voice, as we get to know him more and live out his truth.
Live group Zoom on our final day July 21st at 6:30pm to share all we have learned, with additional teaching and encouragement.
